FOTD- Office wear

Here are my tips to liven up your office outfits. Due to work experience placements and "mooting" competitions (where you argue a case in front of a judge), dressing formally has become the norm. I never liked wearing suits, I'm really short so when I wear matching trousers and blazers I look terrible (like a dwarf). So here is how i attempt to make office wear a little more glamorous and bearable.

Shirt is from Uniqlo, pencil skirt from River Island
I love wearing skirts, pencil skirts are so elegant and they really give you a nice body shape! You could wear a shirt or just a plain top with a pencil skirt, with a blazer over it.
Nothing special about my make-up, i always try to keep it plain and professional.
I look older in a shirt right? I try to wear maximum of one piece of fun jewellery, like here i wore big flower earrings but a conservative bracelet and necklace, this makes the earrings really stand out and brightens up my outfit.
A plain navy top from Mango, Suit trousers from River Island and a small green tortoise shell patterned belt Uniqlo.

Try to steer clear of shimmery blushes and eye shadows, it wouldn't be a good impression to look like you're about to go clubbing rather than to an office environment!! With plain tops, I love wearing long necklaces to make it look less boring.

Hope you enjoyed this! Please let me know if you want to see more posts like this =)

Eyebrows Make Your Face: NYX eyebrow cake powder

I love love love this product. I believe that eyebrows completely change your face, if I had to do only one makeup ritual in the morning, it would be doing my eyebrows. I use to use Smashbox's brow tech to go, which I do love, but it was like taking a crayon and drawing on your face with it, which I got over quickly, they only offer 2 colors and it costs almost 30 dollars. On the other hand the NYX eyebrow cake powder has 6 shades and is only 5 dollars, to me, thats a great value.
This kit contains 2 eyebrow colors, setting wax, a slanted brush for application and a round brush to shape and style your brows. It's super pigmented and little goes a long way, so don't think you need to fill your brush with powder, I just dip my brush into the lightest color. The colors can be used alone or blended together to find your most natural shade, and if you're like me and tired of eyebrow pencils, this powder is perfect.
I'm so glad i stumbled upon this product, it goes on my brows easily and looks more natural. I love the fact that it comes with its own wax, and just like the colors a little goes a long way, I just press my finger lightly into the way and sweep it over my brows and that's all I need to keep my brows looking great all day/night. I give this a big 2 thumbs up, and if I had more thumbs, I'd put those up as well.

Look using Sugar Pill Cosmetics

Hi everyone! Today I'm reviewing and using the Sugarpill cosmetics quad. Hmm I don't know where to begin on this quad. I saw alot of You tube guru's use this quad and just gave such rave reviews on it that I felt I just had to try it! Well needless to say I'm dissapointed. I guess where the other guru's were calling it very pigmented I found it to be chalky. Now I will say this.....maybe it was chalky because I picked up alot on my brush. If you just tap your brush in one of the colors it immediately gravitates to your brush so I guess thats the pigmentation that everyone is speaking of. But to me as I was applying the yellow it just caked up and chalked up on the yellow Jumbo pencil by NYX. I found it very hard to blend. Because it is so "Pigmented" you have to sort of layer it.

Now like I said it could have been me. I know with some other brands I've tried I found I wasnt using it correctly. Or I didnt have the right brushes for the product or didnt know how to properly use the products. But nor here or there I guess I'm just spoiled with using products where it's blendable and there are no rules or certain ways to use the product. But I do suggest if you have this quad or are considering getting this quad that maybe not to use as much as I did. For me according to my pics it doesnt look as though I used alot but ....I DID! Lol . I'm only going to give my honset opinion on any product that I use. I have just always seemed to luck up on products that I purchase and love them. I have bought some things I didnt like it but never reviewed them and either donated them to someone else or just threw them away. But being that Sugarpill is such a popular brand I really wanted to try them out and I honestly really wanted to like them. Also I feel as though there should be more colors than what they have. To me every guru, up and coming cosmetic company or private label has a quad or some of the colors that surarpill has to offer. Now if they gave me some things to try out to review I'd definitely give them another try but as of now I don't think I'd be purchasing the line with my own hard earned money. But in all fairness to the line I will continue to try and use it and see if there is a specific way that I should use it. Also I may even watch some other guru's videos to see if there is anything different that they may have done that I didnt. But I did see a still picture of someone else using it and it looked chalky to me off the break! But hey I like to form my own opinion before assuming. Well I assumed right. So once again like I said I will try and attempt another look or so with it to see if there is something I did wrong.
