We went to the Quincy Market in Boston!  I didn't know there was SOOOOOOOO much history here in Boston!  I had so much fun on the Freedom Trail, looking at the Holocaust Memorial, Sam Houston statues... and many more!!!  I was soooo fun!  There were soo many great things to eat so it was really hard choosing ONE place to eat.. so we decided to eat seafood AND pizza hehe.

OOTD & my first time using false lashes

Hi all!
 I'm so glad you all enjoyed my BB cream review! Just a quick note on that, I notice a lot of people mentioning that the downfall about BB creams is that the colour doesn't match them. However, I'm pretty certain that Missha has released their BB creams in a few other shades, so maybe check that out? Please don't forget, most BB creams need a few minutes to oxidise before they match your skin colour. Hope that helps! Oh, and also there was a point about the oiliness, I find that if you put translucent powder or a tiny bit of mineral foundation after, that tends to help too.

Ok, enough with the long lecture, this was suppose to be a short post!

My first time using false eyelashes.

I have a phobia of false eyelashes. A few years ago when I did a photoshoot in Beijing I had asked during the last frames, whether the make-up artist could try false lashes on me. That night after the shoot, I kept the lashes on and to my horror, whilst I was getting my hair cut I saw half of it hanging off. It was so embarrassing! Ever since then, i've never touched false lashes again because of my constant fear that someone would see my lashes hanging off, which isn't a good look might i add!

However, after watching a million youtube videos on how to apply false lashes, i felt confident enough to give it another go.

I chose these eylure ones as they were the most natural ones I could find, I'm not too keen on dramatic or overly obvious ones. Also, I think the shape of these ones suit my eye shape more. I thought the eylure glue wasn't that great, I had to buy a separate one.
It turns out I was no professional even after all those prep videos!! Here are some lessons i leart:
1. once you applied the lash glue, don't wait a whole five minutes before applying them, my glue was totally dry by the time i applied them, i think i took "wait till the glue gets tacky" a little too seriously
2. apply mascara after the lashes have been attached.
3. apply the lashes as close to your real lash line as possible, don't leave a huge gap, doh!
4. a pair of pointy tweezers are very useful for poking glue under the lashes that hadn't stuck.

The end result

Lips: nothing (I normally leave doing my lipstick in the car, I'm weird like that).

Really happy that they look natural and aren't that obvious! 

After what seemed like forever trying to poke the lashes in place, I think it went well! It didn't come off once during the whole day (I attended a wedding). Most of all, it was very comfortable, I actually forgot I had these on. I am probably going to stick with these, but I'm still going to leave them for special events, the stress of applying them still scares me! As for reusing lashes, I chucked them away as I took them off with make-up remover and it looks really gross after.

This is like the smallest bag in the world, I was so frustrated with it, I couldn't fit much in here at all! Why do women use such pointless things? Evidently this bag really tests your priorities, and I chose my lipstick, lash glue and tissues over my phone.

Date with hubby & OOTD

Hey everyone! My hubby and I decided to go on a date to Newbury St. in Boston! There was soo many people out that day! The weather was soo nice and perfect~~~! We walked around.. shopped.. took pictures for about 2 hours.. and then ate at Legal Sea Foods for dinner! It was soooooo yummy!

My FAVORITE Going Out / Party Dresses

1st - Victorial Secret : This dress is very casual and chic look. It looks very cute with a black cardigan over it. I wore this dress a lot during my honeymoon at Hawaii. A lot of people came up to me to ask where I purchased this dress! It is a very cute spring/summer dress!


2nd - H&M : I wore this dress to a friend's wedding two months ago. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress! I love the shape of this dress and how it fits on my body type so well! There are different colors available at the H&M stores!


3rd - Windsor : I wore this beautiful silky dress to my bachelorette party couple months ago! My friends LOVED this dress!!!!!! It was about $60 something dollars, but totally worth the money!

OOTD, Chanel tweed Blush Swatch & Mini Review

Hello lovelies!

 I am happy to announce that the sun has arrived in London and the weather has been beautiful these past weeks, therefore I have been taking every opportunity to dress up in my summer outfits before the sun disappears again (which is very often).

Without flash, it was really hard to swatch for some reason. You can see though, that it is a very light coral pink.

With flash, you can see it's a lovely shimmery coral. It's quite similar to Sleek's Rose Gold?

Likes:

- It's really natural looking, if you want more colour, you can gradually build it up.

- It has some shimmers in it, unlike other blushers, the shimmers are discreet. Comparing this to Rose Gold by Sleek, you can definitely see a difference in quality. With Rose Gold, you can definitely see the shimmers and you have to really control how much blush to apply to avoid the caked-on effect. With Chanel, the shimmers are not as intense, it gives you a glow rather than looking cakey. 

- Great quality

Dislikes:
- the price may not suit a lot of people; £30.

I definitely recommend this blush if you are willing to dish out £30 for a blush, but it's definitely not a "must have", it's more of a luxury product.

Review: Sleek Original eyeshadow Palette + OOTD

Here's my review on Sleek's Original i-divine palette 594:

Comes in 12 colours, mirror and applicator.

Price- £6.49
What it is: mineral based eyeshadow, they are all velvety and highly pigmented colours (only the black colour is matte).

I adore 8, it's such a pretty pink, but I'm still working on how to wear it without looking like i'm 10 years old. They are all such lovely colours! I like them all!

I am new to Sleek products, I was recommended to try their products by friends because apparently the quality is great and the prices are really reasonable- I couldn't have agreed more!

Summary:

(+) Great value, less that £7 for 12 colours that are all usable and pretty, which i'm really impressed about.

(+) Great quality, lasts quite long for me when I use a primer (I have oily lids)

(+)The colours are very pigmented, it's fine for daytime but i usually wear no more than 2 colours, the  more dramatic colours are great for evening. 

(+) colours are easy to use and blend, most of all you can wear them on their own (great for lazy people like me!)

(-) boring black packaging which is the same as all my other palettes, it gets confusing which palette i pick up.

Overall, I'm going to buy more! I heard the Storm palette is pretty popular too, so i'll be checking that out!

Here, I'm sporting the two browns, if you refer back to the palette above it's numbers 10 and 11. I know you can't really see the colours when my eyes are open, only a little that is peeking through, but it's because I don't like wearing too much make-up during the day. I know, that's why I'm rubbish at eye tutorials, ah wells!

I hope everyone is well, I've been keeping up to date with Japan's news and I can't help but tear up everytime I read a news article about Japan. It is so shocking and tragic, the devastation is immense.  Fortunately all my friends that live in Japan are fine but they are all so shaken by the disasters.
