REVIEW: Masks and Eyelashes

If you guys watched my daily skincare routine video, I mentioned about these face masks that I use (the korean ones).  I usually buy them for $4-$5 at the cosmetic corner at a nearby Korean grocery store.  I found a online shopping mall "Luna Beauty" that sells these for $3 BUT they are currently on sale for $0.99!!!

STEPS for applying sheet masks:

1.  cleanse your face

2.  apply your face lotion

3.  apply your toner

4.  apply your acne medication

5.  apply the mask sheet on your face

6.  wait 15 minutes

7.  take off the mask (face will feel alittle moist)

8.  let it dry naturally (air dry). 

Don't wash it off because that is all the good stuff for your face!

** For cooler & fresh mask, put your mask package in the fridge for about 5 minutes, and then apply it to your face.  My husband and I always do that... feels soo cooool!

 DARKNESS KOREAN FALSE EYELASHES

For all of my makeup tutorials, "Darkness" Korean eyelashes are what I always use.  They are not very expensive, feels light, natural, easy to apply, soft, blends well, only have to trim alittle bit (depending on how long your eyes are), can reuse many times, comes with glue.  I bought this style few days ago to get the more "dolly" look.  It is alittle bit more harder (but still very natural) then the ones I use everyday from this same company.

It comes with TWO glues inside.  The white one seems to not work for me that well and my eyelashes come off.  The yellow glue works GREAT for me even though I only apply a small amount on the eyelashes (barely any).  It stays on ALL day, even when I cry. hehe

Here are the natural ones that I wear everyday from "darkness".  It feels so light and looks so natural, I can't even feel the eyelashes on my eyes.  I like how it is shorter in the corners and gets longer towards the end. 

Here is a comparison of the "natural everyday eyelash" and "dolly look eyelash".

I wouldn't recomment wearing the dolly one everyday because they are alittle more harder and dramatic. =) It is a great eyelash if you want to go for the "dolly look".  Overall, the darkness eyelashes are all GREAT!

These eyelashes are also sold on Luna Beauty website for sooo much cheaper!  I also buy these eyelashes from the cosmetic corner for $5 (with tax), but on this website they are selling them for $2.95 - $3.50

A beautiful slim & sleek glass bottle of 30 ml. Has a glad cap & it is a pump out bottle. Very handy & should be kept safe while carrying around coz it's made of glass. The pump makes it very easy to take out the required amount.

When I first applied it, the words which came out after seeing its result on my face were…wow it’s just perfect. I have used many foundations but only some foundations could impress me. A lot of bottles are still waiting to use them after using one or two times because they are not right choice for my skin tone. Some of them are so heavy after applying of course they gave the good coverage but I hate to apply a foundation plaster on my face. Some were light weight but their shades couldn’t match from my skin tone. I have usually been wearing Revlon Colorstay foundation because it’s really a light weight, only on some occasion I wear its PhotoReady foundation because it’s a bit heavy. But after applying this one I have to realize that it’s not only so light in weight but also gives a great coverage to my skin. I wore it at a function which was from morning to late evening. The whole day I never felt that I had applied something on my face and after reaching home I was surprised to see that the effect of the foundation was just same as morning. I poured cold water two or three times during the day but there was not an inch of difference in the effect of my foundation. It is totally oil free, but in spite of that it doesn't make the skin dry. I felt a natural moisture in my skin. I can’t express my feeling after wearing it. It’s really a water proof foundation; I realized it while I was washing my face.

At first I tried to remove some foundation with a wet cotton wool but I was amazed to notice that not a tinch of stain of foundation was on the cotton wool, hey..that was not the end of its miracle because it got removed very easily using my Liz Earle cleanser. What else should we want from a great foundation, like this-amazing coverage to hide any imperfections on our skin, miraculously light weight, water proof & oil-free, yet removes easily using a good cleanser! So I don't think you need anything else from this magical bottle?

Good points

The packaging is so stunning like a cute perfume bottle, very handy and still safe and secure.

It’s a pump out bottle so you can get your required amount after pressing the pump very easily.

A little quantity will be enough for getting a good coverage.

It has a very high coverage foundation. Conceals all the spots of the skin. I don’t require a concealer after applying this foundation.

I can find an even, unified and flawless skin without the feeling of something heavy on my face. It’s amazingly very light weight that sometimes I feel as if I’m only wearing my moisturizer on my face. It gives an oil free, natural moist skin.

It’s great for all types of skin, if you have so much oily skin you only have to do to apply a good pressed powder after applying it.

It’s completely water proof; I don’t need to worry about it fading out neither from sweating, getting wet in rain, nor by pouring cold water on my face.

On blending

I can remove it very easily with any good cleanser. I only need to apply a good cleanser on my face, massage gently and then remove it with a moist cotton wool. I only need a face wash or foaming cleanser for removing my arrogant eye liner & mascara.

The cost of this foundation is worth its infinite qualities.

You can really get a miraculous foundation after buying it.

I really love this packaging. I didn’t expect such a classy packaging of a lip balm or butter.Comes in a small transparent jar with a green cap. On opening the cap one would find a plastic lid over the contents to keep it safe.

I opened it and suddenly its lovely smell made my day pleasant. Pleasant smells always give a good sense of any product. Applying it on the lips was a very pleasant feeling & that too indescribable. This lip butter is all about my lips wanted since long. I have used many lip balms but none can become my favorite or need of my lips. If you know me, you know that Boroline has been my favorite for moisturizing my lips especially in winter but I have to apply a lip balm when I go outside but they are never much effective for me. After 2-3 hours my lips became dry again. I wasn’t sure that this one would be helpful for me. I applied it on my lips and waited for about 2 hours and found that my lips were as moist as they were when I had applied it. And then I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that my lips are still moist even after 5-6 hrs. Wonderful!!! The word which justifies its effect isreally wonderful. I’m really happy to find this impressive product. It would be a part of my skincare in the coming winters. I applied it at about 2 pm & now it’s 7pm and my lips are still moist and soft. What more can I expect from lip butter.

Impressive ingredients which are really effective for my lips

I love the smell. It makes me happy.

It works after applying and makes my lips soft and supple. The effect remains at least 4/5 hours. I never found such effective lip balm ever. I think that’s the difference in a lip balm and lip butter.

It contains some high quality ingredients which soothes and hydrates the chapped lips and makes them soft.

If they right in their claim (mango butter rejuvenates the skin and helps minimize lip wrinkles) about which I’m sure, then it’s helpful for mature people’ lips.

Bad points

The only bad point that I can count is that the packaging might prove to be a bit unhygienic, but one can overcome that if used only with clean hands.

Finally I would say that it’s a gift for dry lips especially for the dry cold weathers when we are always in search of something good at reasonably priced as well.

Queen London lipsticks

These lipsticks are from Queen Cosmetics London, a brand highly famous from its skincare products for sensitive skin. Lipsticks are not a major feature of their product range; they are an area they are looking to develop in the future. Queen lipsticks come in a range of vibrant colors.

Shades

Queen lipsticks come in the following shades: Pink( magenta pink), Medium ( a sheer mid-red), Soft Pink ( bubblegum pink) Maize ( an orangey brown), Coral ( a pinky red) and Light Red ( a bright, slightly orangey red).

My shades

The lipsticks which I’m going to review are the two among the 6.These are in two shades, the first one is Maize, a light brown shade and the second is Soft Pink, which is quite near to a hot bubblegum pink shade.

Texture

The textures of both of lipstick are matte but moisturizing and velvety. These are completely moisturizing, you have no need to apply a lip balm before applying them. Even if your lips are dry, you will feel them quite moist just after applying this.

Pigmentation

The pigmentation is just remarkable. I have seen such pigmentation only in some very high brands lipsticks. You’ll presume that only from the fact that the swatches which you are seeing on my hand are only one swipes each.

In the mirror of my own experience

I was highly impressed by their pigmentation and super creamy texture only after swatching once on my hand. So I was eager to apply them on my lips and wanted to do it quickly. That day my lips were a bit dry but I applied the Soft Pink lipstick without moisturizing my lips. The texture was super creamy & it applied like a dream. I applied just one swipe on my upper lips and another one on the lower lips and got a gorgeous color. I was pleasantly surprised to see that my dry lips had turned completely moist. The creamy bubblegum pink shade was really looking so pretty. After removing the Soft Pink lipstick, I tried the second one and I got that quality-wise it was completely similar. The intensity of the color, the velvety texture all were the same. The orangey brown shade was my favorite. After applying 2/3 times these lipsticks have become my hot favorite but the only problem with it is the fear of them melting in the hot season. But anyways, it'll be safe in my refrigerator!

Super creamy and soft textured.

No need to apply a lip balm before applying it as they moisturize them well!

Your lips will feel moist & smooth after applying it.

Only one or two swipes are sufficient to obtain the precise color.

The ingredients are super and high class. They are a mixture of natural and synthetic ones which are safe and effective for all type of skins especially sensitive skin.

The price is not much as compared to the qualities.

Queen lipsticks are shipped world wide so it is not difficult to get them. Just order your faves and they will reach you within two-three weeks very safely.

In the ending I want to say that I love these lipsticks. I got everything which I want from any lipstick. The all qualities which I desire from a high brand lipsticks. I’ll want to request from Queen Cosmetics to develop their makeup ranges and produce more shades in their lipstick range. I hope they will do so near future.

Franc Essential Products- Review, photos...

Cleansing, scrubbing/exfoliating & using body lotions & creams are all essentials parts of out skin care..isn't it?
Related to these I'm reviewing three products from an Australian Brand call Franc Essential.
I was sent three sachet samples to try & review a couple of weeks back so toady I'm gonna review the same.

In the mirror of my own experience:

As all I received was a small sachet so I used this only twice after bathing so that my skin remains moisturized.It is a bit thick so I initially thought it would be a bit greasy or something like that but it wasn't! In fact it moisturized my skin nicely without leaving any greasy feeling & it wasn't drying as well. I didn't like the smell much but the good thing was that it vanished within 30 seconds so that is not a big problem. It made my hands very soft so I would surely recommend this product to girls with normal-dry skin! In all I would say that this lotion is quite impressive & not too costly as well! Lastly, it is entirely herbal & Franc Essential is a cruelty free brand as well!!

The second product was this cleanser which also I used twice. I had come back home from shopping so I was wearing light makeup; just a lipstick, light eyeshadow & a waterproof eyeliner. On using this I found that my lipstick & shadow had been removed very easily but the eyeliner which was waterproof had not been affected much. However it is clearly mentioned that this product does not remove waterproof makeup so can't blame it much. On patting my face dry, it wasn't dry nor greasy & it looked really clean & fresh. It got washed up easily. So I would say that this is a good cleanser if you are wearing light makeup, nothing waterproof. If you are one who does not wear much waterproof makeup then you should surely give this a try!

Again this was something which I could use twice & I had apretty good experience with it.
On taking out the product for the first time...I was surprised to see that it looked precisely like a cream but as a started applying it onto my face, I could feel the tiny, gentle granules in it. They gently rubbed onto my face cleaning it. It didn't give me any breakouts & cleaned it well! Has a nice fruity sort of smell which was not at all irritating & not even strong. It's very gently & the tiny granules can cause not harm and exfoliate the skin nicely. Didn't dry my face nor did it leave any oily feeling. The only thing is that it's a bit pricey but i feel many people do ignore that.
The best thing about this brand its that they don't test on animals & the products are completely herbal causing no harm!

I have used this night cream for nearly 10-13 days till now. After cleansing my face, I had been applying it all over my face and neck giving it a gentle massage before going to sleep. When I applied it the first night, I felt a bit of heavy texture for my skin because in summers and especially in monsoons my skin becomes a bit combination so I thought of keeping it in my refrigerator for the winters only but the next morning when I got my skin so supple and soft I had to change my decision and I kept using this cream every night but one thing I did was that I took a very small amount for massaging and I felt that was enough for my skin during these days. I noticed the result only after one week. That was really very impressive. The glow and the softness of my skin were great. This cream has all natural ingredients & we all know about their advantages. White tea, almond oil, vitamin-E olive oil etc. all are so effective. After 14 days, I can say that it’s a great night cream which not only makes the skin smooth and silky but gives a glowing effect.

However I still feel that it would be more effective on my skin in winters so I have kept it in my refrigerator for the dry weather. It’s a perfect night cream for normal to dry skin but in my opinion it would be rich and heavy for oily skin. The white tea extracts work for anti-aging as well so it’ll be great for a mature skin too.

Has a nice, natural smell!

Makes the skin soft and supple. The effects show up only within a week.

Almond oil, olive oil and vitamin-E are well known ingredient to make the skin healthy. They work their own and result show clearly after 15 days.

It can be an ideal night cream in winter for normal to dry skin.

White tea ingredients are good for reduce aging signs so it’s perfect night cream for a middle age or mature skins.

The product is worth the price.

Bad points

A bit greasy for humid weather.

Not perfect for combination-oily skin.

It’s not easily available everywhere.

Final thoughts

Finally I would say that it’s a perfect night cream which contains a lot of natural and effective ingredients. It’s a night cream which contains anti aging ingredients as well. No need to apply another cream for anti aging. I’m happy that such an impressive night cream is available in India.
