Review: Sleek Original eyeshadow Palette + OOTD

Hi all,
Thank you for all the lovely comments for my previous post, you're all too kind! I'm glad you enjoyed the pics!

Here's my review on Sleek's Original i-divine palette 594:
Comes in 12 colours, mirror and applicator.
Price- £6.49
What it is: mineral based eyeshadow, they are all velvety and highly pigmented colours (only the black colour is matte).

NO FLASH

I adore 8, it's such a pretty pink, but I'm still working on how to wear it without looking like i'm 10 years old. They are all such lovely colours! I like them all!
NO FLASH AND BAD SKIN
PACKAGING; front
I am new to Sleek products, I was recommended to try their products by friends because apparently the quality is great and the prices are really reasonable- I couldn't have agreed more!

Summary:
(+) Great value, less that £7 for 12 colours that are all usable and pretty, which i'm really impressed about.
(+) Great quality, lasts quite long for me when I use a primer (I have oily lids)
(+)The colours are very pigmented, it's fine for daytime but i usually wear no more than 2 colours, the  more dramatic colours are great for evening.
(+) colours are easy to use and blend, most of all you can wear them on their own (great for lazy people like me!)
(-) boring black packaging which is the same as all my other palettes, it gets confusing which palette i pick up.

Overall, I'm going to buy more! I heard the Storm palette is pretty popular too, so i'll be checking that out!

Here, I'm sporting the two browns, if you refer back to the palette above it's numbers 10 and 11. I know you can't really see the colours when my eyes are open, only a little that is peeking through, but it's because I don't like wearing too much make-up during the day. I know, that's why I'm rubbish at eye tutorials, ah wells!

Outfit of the day:
Top: Primark
Belt: Uniqlo
Chino trousers: H&M
Shoes: Debenhams

Have any of you tried Sleek products? Let me know what you think about the brand! I will be reviewing Sleek blushers soon, so stay tuned.

I hope everyone is well, I've been keeping up to date with Japan's news and I can't help but tear up everytime I read a news article about Japan. It is so shocking and tragic, the devastation is immense.  Fortunately all my friends that live in Japan are fine but they are all so shaken by the disasters. Lets all keep praying for Japan, and most of all help in any way we can i.e. by donating any spare change or more.

Take care my loves! xX

How to make a quick Japanese curry

Hi guys, this is just a quick "How to", it's really simple to make and doesn't require much at all. The amount of ingredients here will be enough to feed a family of four. Don't forget to boil your rice!!!

Ingredients:
1 Onion
4-5 Potatoes
2 Carrots (optional)
2 Courgettes (optional)
1 Tomato (optional)
Meat: either chicken breasts, chicken wings and drumsticks, pork or beef.
1 cup of water
2 cubes of curry paste

As you can see, most of the vegetables are optional, i personally love vegetables so I tend to add a lot. Feel free to add your own! I love this dish because you can throw which ever type of meat you want, even lamb and shrimp, it's entirely up to you. If you're a vegetarian, you don't even need to add the meat and the curry will still be fine!

Step1: Peel the skin of the carrots, potatoes, courgettes and onion. Wash and chop everything including the tomato into chunky pieces.

You want to chop them into chunky pieces because they will eventually melt when you cook them.

For the potatoes, chuck them into a bowl of cold water to soak for about 5-10mins then drain the water out.

Here I used 5 pieces of pork chops which I cut up into thin pieces (slightly larger than my finger). It's best to guestimate how much meat your family will consume, as I used so many vegetables, I didn't use too much meat.

Step 2: using a medium- large saucepan that has a lid, heat up some oil.
Add the onions and meat to fry. You want the onions to be lightly brown, the meat only needs look cooked on the outside, time it to about 2mins.
Then add all your vegetables to cook. Give it a few stirs, then add 1 cup of cold water, if you think it's not enough water, add another half cup or more (entirely up to you) but remember, you don't want your curry to be too runny.

Once the water boils, put the heat down to let it simmer for 15-20mins. Check if your potatoes are cooked by using a toothpick to poke through it. If the potato is still hard, let it cook for longer. Don't forget to keep stirring once in a while to ensure all the vegetables and meat are cooking simultaneously.

This is the curry paste, you can find this at any Japanese food store, it doesn't have to be this particular brand.

There are some instructions on the back too! You don't have to follow them exactly, you can always improvise!

Step 3: Once . Add 2 cubes of the curry paste. Mix it in till it's all melted.

Don't let your curry burn, keep the heat low and stir every once in a while, test the flavour, add a little salt if needed. It should look something like this.
Serve with boiled rice.
If you wanted your curry darker; at Step 3 rather than adding 2 cubes of paste, you can add 3-4.

Hope this was easy enough to follow, feel free to ask me any questions below!
Lots of love xX

Bi Bim Bap!

Today I went to a Korean restaurant called Bi Bim Bap (i love that name, i couldn't stop saying it haha!). This restaurant specialises in Bi Bim Bap, this is basically rice, with a layer of vegetables like carrots, bean sprouts, spinach etc. then whatever meat you choose, all served in a burning hot stone bowl. They also do noodle and salad dishes too.

This is the most popular Bi Bim Bap; it's the vegetarian one with a fried egg on top. When it came out, i could hear the food crackling, and the bowl was really really hot, i know because i stupidly poked it.

This is the beef Bi Bim Bap. Look at all the veg! I felt so healthy =)
Yellow bottle is Chilli Oil, Red is Chilli sauce. So before you eat the Bi Bim Bap you're suppose to add whatever sauce you like then mix everything in the bowl thoroughly.

Seafood Pancake
Overall, i would definitely go back, the BiBimBap was delicious, the price was very reasonable (especially for students) from £6-8 per dish, the service was good and the name is fun to say! Bi Bim Bap! 5/5

It poured down with rain by late afternoon, like really bad! I had forgotten my umbrella, but luckily at the time i was sitting cosily in Haagen Daz watching the sky explode...
This was such a rip-off! Wasn't worth £7.10 at all... The scoops of icecream were tiny, and they had melted quite a bit, i have a feeling that was due to all the fussy presentations around it....

OOTD
Casual; tank top, shirt and skinny jeans all purchased at Uniqlo. Necklace was made by me =)

Lots of love <3 xX
