Swatch: Dior Lipstick in Fuchsia Star ✰

Hello everyone!
Hope everyone is well!! Thank you all for your lovely comments, it was nice to know I'm not the only one who has had some mishaps with false lashes and the same situations has happened to some girlies too!
Here's a swatch of one of the lipsticks from Diors Rouge collection:
Fuchsia star 766.
Have you noticed that red/bright lipsticks tend to make your teeth look whiter? Or is it just me...
I love their packaging, so sleek and chic! Also, it's not unnecessarily big :)

My thoughts:
- It's definitely a lovely shade, the quality like all Dior lipsticks is great, my lips never feel dry and it's quite shiny on its own.
-  It's such a bright colour, I don't think I would wear it often but i would recommend this to girls who love to embrace bright colours!

Does this ring look familiar to you?
Yes, i'm secretly married to Prince William.. Lol!
This is such a cool dupe of Kate Middletons ring! I wear this as a statement ring.

In my last post, Blair had asked me to show a close up of my necklace. Here it is Blair :)
This was a birthday gift from my mum, my first impressions of it wasn't great. I remembered asking her "why did you get me a caveman necklace... it looks so weird". However, I've come to appreciate how unique this piece is and I think it's really pretty :)

Thank you for reading! Lots of love xX <3

OOTD & my first time using false lashes

Hi all!
I'm so glad you all enjoyed my BB cream review! Just a quick note on that, I notice a lot of people mentioning that the downfall about BB creams is that the colour doesn't match them. However, I'm pretty certain that Missha has released their BB creams in a few other shades, so maybe check that out? Please don't forget, most BB creams need a few minutes to oxidise before they match your skin colour. Hope that helps! Oh, and also there was a point about the oiliness, I find that if you put translucent powder or a tiny bit of mineral foundation after, that tends to help too.

Ok, enough with the long lecture, this was suppose to be a short post!
My first time using false eyelashes.

I have a phobia of false eyelashes. A few years ago when I did a photoshoot in Beijing I had asked during the last frames, whether the make-up artist could try false lashes on me. That night after the shoot, I kept the lashes on and to my horror, whilst I was getting my hair cut I saw half of it hanging off. It was so embarrassing! Ever since then, i've never touched false lashes again because of my constant fear that someone would see my lashes hanging off, which isn't a good look might i add!

However, after watching a million youtube videos on how to apply false lashes, i felt confident enough to give it another go.

I chose these eylure ones as they were the most natural ones I could find, I'm not too keen on dramatic or overly obvious ones. Also, I think the shape of these ones suit my eye shape more. I thought the eylure glue wasn't that great, I had to buy a separate one.
It turns out I was no professional even after all those prep videos!! Here are some lessons i leart:
1. once you applied the lash glue, don't wait a whole five minutes before applying them, my glue was totally dry by the time i applied them, i think i took "wait till the glue gets tacky" a little too seriously
2. apply mascara after the lashes have been attached.
3. apply the lashes as close to your real lash line as possible, don't leave a huge gap, doh!
4. a pair of pointy tweezers are very useful for poking glue under the lashes that hadn't stuck.

The end result
Eyeshadow: Sleek original pallete
Blush: Chanel Tweed, coral
Face: Skin 79 BB cream
Lips: nothing (I normally leave doing my lipstick in the car, I'm weird like that).
Really happy that they look natural and aren't that obvious!
After what seemed like forever trying to poke the lashes in place, I think it went well! It didn't come off once during the whole day (I attended a wedding). Most of all, it was very comfortable, I actually forgot I had these on. I am probably going to stick with these, but I'm still going to leave them for special events, the stress of applying them still scares me! As for reusing lashes, I chucked them away as I took them off with make-up remover and it looks really gross after.

My outfit
Dress: Mango
Clutch: Coast
Necklace: Swarovski

This is like the smallest bag in the world, I was so frustrated with it, I couldn't fit much in here at all! Why do women use such pointless things? Evidently this bag really tests your priorities, and I chose my lipstick, lash glue and tissues over my phone.

Hope you guys enjoyed this post, I was going to do another review, but I wanted to break it up with a different post to keep it interesting.
Lots of love! xX <3

Come shopping with me!

Hi everyone,

Hope you are all doing well! A quick update on my personal life; I passed all my exams!! Final year here i come! I feel so old saying that! I have also been working during my holiday, shopping and stuffing my face :) Just 2 more months of all that on repeat...

So lets get down to this post, I saw one of my favourite bloggers, Angie (Pandaphilia), do posts where she shows you the clothes that she has tried on whilst shopping and I thought that it was such a great idea! I do a lot of online shopping and I find it difficult to judge whether certain garments would actually fit me, lets face it, website pictures can be very deceiving! Seeing someone wear the clothes gives you a more realistic idea of how the item would look when tried on.

1.
Top: Banana Republic
Price: about £25.00
Decision: Didn't buy, i felt it was too baggy and made me look a little bulky

2.
Top: Banana Republic
Price: £19.00
Decision: Bought, I think this would look great with skinny jeans and wedges/heels

3.
Top: H&M
Price:£10.00
Decision: No, it was too short, you can't see how short it is because of my Chino's but with other trousers the top is too short and looks awkward.

4.
Dress: H&M
Price: £10.00
Decision: No. I know this was such a bargain, I loved the colour and would have definitely bought it if I saw this online. However it was waaaay to revealing for me, also I was a bit worried about flashing people if the top half of the dress moved slightly. If the top half was a little less revealing I would have snapped this up!

If you was wondering, my Chino's and peep-toe shoes were from H&M.

Look what I found in Covent Garden the other day Kevin!! :)

Will update again soon! Lots of love, xX <3

My week in pictures

I love looking at pictures of other bloggers and seeing what they have been up to, so here's mine for the last week or so :)
The Victoria & Albert Museum entrance. Isn't this museum so pretty?
A friend visited from LA and he wanted to visit some museums, the V&A is such a pretty museum, but my personal favourite is the Natural history :)

The V&A Court yard
It was such a lovely day, there were loads of people having lunch and ice cream in the courtyard, there is also a large water feature in the centre.

This was taken in the science museum, a chandelier made of Bic pens- how cool is that?!! I use so many of these throughout my academic life, maybe i should keep my used pens and make a chandelier too!

Tea and Macaroon with the girls <3

Sushi buffet. This was just one plate of many, to my surprise i'm still not sick of sushi lol.
Note to fellow Londoners; I recommend "Hi Sushi" at Camden, £16 per head buffet.

After a long day of shopping, taking a tea break in John Lewis.

Have you guys tried Wasabi's green tea icecream?

Dave Wong Concert @ Hammersmith Apollo

I was lucky enough to be given a ticket for this concert, although I wasn't too sure who this guy was, nonetheless I enjoyed it. I sat pretty close and saw a lot of people running near the stage to shake his hand. If it had been Lady Gaga or someone I was a fan of, I would have definitely been tempted to run up to the stage!

The end :) Hope you enjoyed this post xX

Popping Champagne at the Hilton Hotel

Hello everyone, an update post. I see new followers, hi welcome! I always try to follow everyone back so if i haven't yet please don't be shy and remind me! =)

What have I been up to? Recently I've been so busy with work and uni and just life in general. I've taken loads of pics of my recent events and finally had time to upload them. It's also that dreaded time of year again; exams. So I won't be updating as much (not that i have recently anyways), but I do have a few reviews lined up on products by Sleek (they are amazinggg!) and also some outfits of the days (OOTD).

Here are some pictures from a party I attended at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane recently. I've blocked out the faces of other people as I'm not sure if they'd like to be featured on my blog... lol.

Yes some of these pictures aren't taken by me, I did not become a professional photographer over night!

Such a pretty hotel.

Starters: Salmon.
It wasn't that nice... lots of people didn't even finish theirs.

Desert: Green tea ice cream, champagne berry jelly and strawberry soufflé.
I didn't bother taking a picture of the main course, it wasn't nice... I was quite disappointed with the food, especially since it was the Hiltons afterall.

Their chandeliers are so gorgeous.

Belly dancer

My dress for the night

I hate dancing, I think the photographer captured that nicely here haha!

The end :)

Will be doing a make-up post soon, till then take care everyone!
Lots of love xX

Being snowed in sucks! :(

 Hello dear readers =)

It snowed again here in London, and this time it snowed hard! I'm getting a little tired of snow, so far the snow has ruined my plans, interrupted my travels and disrupted my Law competitions!

I was really looking forward to going shopping today and i needed my sushi fix, unfortunately all the trains were either cancelled or delayed (surprise surprise Transport For London, you always like to ruin my life!). Instead I spent the day stuck at home...

I know you guys love snow pictures so here they are =)

This looks like a scene from a postcard lol!

This picture was taken two weeks ago (i think, or was it a week?). The pond was frozen!! But it looked so romantic, we deliberately drove past it again just so i can snap a picture to show you guys =)

I would love it to snow on Christmas day, but just for a little bit because the roads need to be clear so i can travel and see family!! I always dreamt of a white Christmas, looks like it might happen this year!

However, for now, please stop snowing! I really need to see my friends this holiday. Cheers.

Lots of love xX <3

Hey all,
It was my birthday recently, so here are a few pics for you all to see.
My Birthday flowers, from my boyfriend <3
He knows i love butterflies =)

What i wore to dinner with him.

We went to a Japanese place, and this was my desert, it was just too adorable!! From the left; Black sesame ice cream, Green tea cake with cream, strawberry yoghurt and fresh fruit, all served on a boat-like dish.
The next night my family took me to a Vietnamese place, i love Vietnamese food <3

Can you guess how old i am by the number of candles? (and no i'm not two!)

Before you leave, meet my new baby cousin- William.
He is so adorable and tiny, his head is literally the size of a hand?!

He was born a few days before my birthday, Hurray for September born babies =)
Lots of love <3 xX
