Sleek Makeup Caribbean Collection Aruba Blush & Bonaire Pout Polish- Review, Swatches & LOTD

Hi everyone

After reviewing the Curacao i-divine palette of Sleek Makeup’s Caribbean Collection, my readers have sent me many mails to review the Aruba Blush and Bonaire Pout Polish. So today I'm reviewing these other two things of this collection. Hope you find it helpful & like it :)

Aruba Blush

It’s a bright matte orange blush which is a part of the Caribbean Collection.

Price

£4.29

What Sleek Makeup says

Be brave and brighten your look with a cheeky hint of coral and turn into a bird of paradise with Caribbean inspired colors!

Packaging

Comes in a very handy small box. Inside it you'll find a wide mirror on one side & the blush on the other.

Shade

It’s a bright orange shade which gives a lovely coral shade on your cheeks after applying with a light hand.

Texture

Silky and smooth, so pigmented that after touching it for the first time, you might hesitate in applying it on your cheeks thinking that it may be too bright & bold.

In the mirror of my own experience

As I told you that when I saw it for first time on the net, the first thought of mine was ‘ hey it’s not for me' & even after touching it my thoughts were the same but when I applied it on my cheeks I was amazed to see its lovely shade and finish. I applied it with a very light hand & gentle strokes so it gave a soft orangish coral look to my cheeks. All my hesitation had gone on seeing the shade. I can apply it very comfortably for my holiday tours to any hill station or sea side even at day time and it’ll be a great option for a night party so I really love this blush ♥♥

The lasting power is amazing. It can stay easily for 5 to 6 hours without any reapplying. In my opinion, no one wants more lasting power in a blush. If you want more, you could get longer wears by using a primer or a cream blush underneath. Like many others I also feel it a cheaper dupe for Nars Taj mahal!!

Good points

I love the packaging which is so handy and I can carry it out very easily for any visit.

Love its matte silky texture.

The pigmentation and smoothness is great.

You can get a lovely coral look after applying it with gentle strokes.

It can make your holidays colorful.

It can be toned down for lighter complexion and can be carried well by darker ones as well.

With a very light application, you can get a natural look which would be perfect for any day occasion.

If you are going for a night party, apply it with a shimmery highlighter. Your cheeks will get radiant just like the lights and it’ll be impossible for anyone to ignore you easily...haha!!!

The lasting power is very impressive keeping the price in mind.

Again I can say that after getting these many qualities, the cost looks unbelievable.

Bad points

If you like light and natural makeup, this blush is not for you.

There is no brush provided with this blush so never forget to carry out your own blush applicator if you are going for a holiday.

Final thoughts

Finally there is no need to say that it’s an impressive product which is definitely a worth buy. The quality, the texture, the intensity, the cost…all are great and incredible ♥♥

Recommendation

This is a definite repurchase for me & I will highly recommend it to all my readers.

Bonaire Pout Polish

The last thing of this collection is this Bonaire Pout Polish which a tinted lip conditioning balm.

Net weight

10g

Price

£4.29

What Sleek Makeup says

A tinted lip conditioning balm formulated with natural oils as well as having a high SPF of 15, giving you gorgeous conditioned lips that are protected from the Sun’s harmful rays.

Packaging

It comes in a round pot with the contents inside. Very handy & travel friendly. The lid has a beautiful design of a boat & palm showing the Caribbean.

In the mirror of my own experience

Many girls are afraid of wearing orange lips due to the fact that it may look funny or too bold. But here is the solution to your fear & problem. This Bonaire Pout Polish is a funky coral tinted balm which is very wearable & is not too dark or intense. It moisturizes the lips nicely giving it a light coral shade which looks fabulous with dark eye makeup. It has a lovely caramel sort of fruity smell also which made me feel as if it was something edible!! Another great thing is that it has SPF 15 which provides sun protection to the lips. It’s great for everyday use & I’m loving this Pout Polish!!

Good Points

Very moisturizing and non-sticky.

Not too bold & bright.

Has SPF 15 which is a great quality.

Love the fruity, yummy smell!!!

Great for everyday use, but you need to apply it skilfully.

Again, the product is worth the price!!

LOTD

Bad points

Has to applied using a brush coz a finger application may not be very hygienic.

The lasting power is not very impressive; just 2-3 hours & then you need to reapply it.

Rating

♥♥♥♥

So girls what do you think about this blush & lip pout?? Have you tried it...if not; you are definitely missing out a lot!!!!

P.S.- FOTD & EOTD using the whole collection coming soon!

Sleek Makeup Caribbean Collection Curacao I-Divine Palette- For the love of brights ♥♥

Whenever we girls think about eye shadow palettes and a lot of colorful eye shadows which can match our various outfits, the first option that always comes to our minds is about the Sleek Makeup’s eyeshadow palettes. They have given countless options for choosing our eye shadows which can perfectly be a match for our dresses. The amazing thing is that although of such fabulous quality they are priced soo decently that anyone can enjoy them. The interesting thing is that they are always in a sneak-peek to launch something new and special which can give the ladies more and more options to decorate their eyes and faces. They have been taking inspiration from different things, sometimes its nature, human beings & sometimes it’s from the climates & colors of different countries.

The latest collection of Sleek makeup is inspired from Caribbean climates, culture & dynamic colors which is so interesting and colorful. The collection is for the girls and ladies, who are lively, love the life’s different shades, like the brightness of nature. To be honest, these type of women never lose their courage and always fight again the difficult circumstances of their lives and emerge as the winner.

The Caribbean collection consists of three things-

But today I'm just reviewing the Curacao palette which consists of 12 shades of eyeshadows.

Curacao Palette

It is a 12 shadow palette & features six shimmery shades and six matte shades. It has a lot of different colors in it including bold corals, ocean blue hues & tangerine brights.

Price

$12/ £6.49

Packaging

The packaging of this palette gives the feeling of the Caribbean atmosphere, the sea, boats and coconut trees. Inside the packet we find the beautiful slim black case of Sleek makeup Divine eyeshadow palette which. Inside the black case we get 12 colorful shades one side of the case and the other side a wide mirror. The palette comes with a duo side of sponge applicator inside it.

Shades

There is a thin plastic film kept over the eyeshadows which has the names of the shades printed on it. Here is what I think about the various shades:

The shades are so different from others. Not any shade has been repeated. Almost all shade are very pigmented. We get some fall out in some darker shades but we can easily ignore to see how well the go on the lid and how nicely the blend. The main specialty of this palette is that we can find the mixture of dark and light shade in one palette together. Every shades of this palette have it own specialty.

Top row left to right

Tequila Sunrise:It is a metallic orangish copper eyeshadow. It is much pigmented. It has some shimmer in it. Very easily applied on the lids and give a lovely finish. I love this shade.

Martini:It’s a creamy pearly shade, shimmery in nature. Very soft in applying. Love its pigmentation. Perfect for applying in my inner corner and highlight my brow bone.

Blue Hawaiian : This is a sky blue shade which is not much pigmented. I had to do 4-5 swipes to get the color that is shown in the swatches. You’ll have to put a bit of effort to get a dark shade but it is useful when we require a light, casual makeup.

Bloody Mary : It’s a crimson red eyeshadow which has medium pigmentation. It looks beautiful & will show up nicely! Bright-shade lovers will surely like this. It is matte in nature.

ScrewDriver : It is a dark yellow eyeshadow again matte. Pigmentation is better than Bloody Mary & again a beautiful option for bright-shade lovers!! Blends very easily & has a smooth finish.

Green Iguana : It is a metallic finish teal green eyeshadow. Very pigmented & has gorgeous shimmers. Blends & applies like a dream!!!

Second row left to right

Apres Midori : It is a parrot green shade with slight shimmers. Has a pearly finish and is very pigmented. Blends & applies very well!

Blue Lagoon : A bit darker than Blue Hawaiian. Very well pigmented & blends very nicely.

Purple haze : Purely purple eyeshadow. No shimmers but not very well pigmented. But yet good for a casual eye makeup.

Green Martini : It’s a dark blackish green eyeshadow with light golden shimmers in it. Very pigmented and smooth & has some amount of fall out.

Singapore Sling : It is a beautiful pink shade with noticeable shimmers…very pigmented & applies very softly.

Expresso Martini : A pure carbon black shade. very pigmented, perfect for doing smoky EOTDs, matte in nature.

Good points

Love the beautiful slim packaging which is so handy :D.
Almost every shadow is very pigmented and intense.
Six shimmery and six matte is a great balance to make both matte & shimmer lovers happy!
Most of shadows are so soft and silky in texture that applying and blending them is a great feeling.
All the shades are different from each other. Even the three greens present are completely different from each other...giving a variety of shades. Repetition of shades is a problem in many palettes but not in this.
The applicator provided can be a helpful one who do not use separate brushes.
A wide mirror is very useful while doing makeup.
The shimmers present in the six shades are not too intense & will not look weird on applying.

From R-L {Tequila sunrise,Martini, Blue hawaiian,Bloodymary,Screwdiver,Green iguana}
From R-L {Apres Midori,Blue Lagoon,Purple haze,Green martini,Singapore Sling,Expresso martini}

Bad points
Two shades- Blue Hawaiian & Purple Haze are not highly pigmented which is a bit disappointing.
A bit of fall out in some shades.
If you love dull, neutral & light shades, this one won't go for that but still Sleek has countless of options so you can choose any other palette!!! I would surely recommend everyone to try Oh So Special for a variety of neutral shades.

Final thoughts
Finally it's a perfect palette in which we find a world of different colors, some dark and some light, some shimmers and some matte. Every colors tells its own quality and story. The girls who love brightness and intensity, this palette is a precious gift for them from Sleek Makeup. The
impressive part of this palette is that there is a mixture of both dark & sheer as well as light & casual shades. The ladies who love light and subtle eye makeups also wouldn't be disappointed with this palette because some light and beautiful shades can make them smile. The quality and pigmentation of almost every shadows tells the story of Sleek Makeup's fame. The softness and velvety texture makes the shadows apply on the lids like a dream. I'll appreciate Sleek Makeup for lunching an amazing palette for us. I really love this collection of colors ♥♥♥!!

Good Girl-Bad girl FOTD and a challenge

Hi lovely ladies,

Just wanted to try out something new with my face. I thought about the images of a good girl & a bad girl (an inspiration from the Sleek good girl and Bad girl eye shadow palette) and try it out on my face. I chose baby pink shade for Good girl and black for Bad girl. Hey don’t think that pink shade is always worn by good girl and black by bad…it’s just an imagination :D

Pink is imagined as a shy, sweet & gentle and black as bold. I don’t know how much I have been successful in my experiment but believe me, I really enjoyed doing this.

Hope you guys like it and if you want to accept this challenge, it’ll be a fun for you. So don’t forget to try out girls. Just do it, post it on your blog along with this post’s link and enjoy!! :D
