Jazzing up natural looking lashes By BlovetBeauty

I did a post earlier on princess lashes that were kindly sponsored by kkcenterhk.com and once again I am announcing my undying love for these super versatile lashes. I did a few bright looks lately and used Princess Lashes No.7 and No.8. If you are on a budget and want some glam lashes, all you need is some bright eye shadow colors or glitter liner and black liquid liner to enhance your natural falsies.

Natural looking lashes are more than enough to create a dramatic look. Here I am using Princess Lash No. 7 and No. 8 and all you really need to jazz them up are:
1) Bright colored eye shadow
2) Glitter Eyeliner
3) Use a black liquid liner to draw a more obvious line
** Do add mascara to your real lashes and falsies and use a good curler.

For this first look I used Princess Lash No.7, Kate’s pink eye shadows(blended slightly above the crease) and applied mascara to my natural lashes and falsies. No.7 are short & natural looking and I like to wear them to work. I usually don’t curl them at all and they look pretty natural. But to jazz it up, I curled it together with my natural lashes and added mascara concentrating at the base of the lashes to give the illusion of a smokey lash line. The pink eye shadow gives a nice pop of color and dresses up an otherwise casual look.

For this second look, I used Princess Lash no. 8. These lashes are longer in length and aren't as natural looking as no.7 but I still love it. Since it is quite long and I want to glam up my eyes without over doing it, I chose to apply sparkly white eye shadow all over my lid and add glitter onto my lower lash line with some brown eyeliner dots on the lower outer half.

I’ve been seeing a lot of girls rock this second look and I love how they play up their lashes. I’ve been loving this super intense black eyeliner and falsies look with a clean face and some sheer gloss. Very sexy!

Sponsored post; KKcenterhk eyelashes By Bloomzy

This post is sponsored by KKcenterhk

KKcenterhk are my current eyelash sponsor. They stock a variety of lashes and the ones I have been given are 2 packs of the 10 pair multipacks from the Korean company 'ES'. I'm sure you have seen these online before, and I know some of you have even bought some yourselves.

I choose a pair of fuller top lashes and a pair of lower lashes.
I only applied a little bit of eyeliner/minimal make-up in the following pictures as I wanted to blend the lashes but show them off, without make-up.

I am sorry for the quality of the photos and the re-use of the banner. These pictures were taken in my last few days in Japan when I was very rushed and stressed. However excuses will not be tolerated, so I shall definitely bring you better ones next time ;D

ES A101 - here

These lashes weren't as harsh as previous fuller ones I had tried. Of course they're not a lash to be worn with minimal make-up, but I feel that you can get a better look at the actual lashes this way.

I plan on wearing them again with a more dramatic eye, probably to compliment a rock-style coordinate - a style which I am growing fond of again. The macro on my camera failed to catch a sharpened image of them but I like them all the same.

ES A023 - here

These were the first pair of lower lashes I had tried from ES. The lashes themselves are very soft and sweet looking, however the lash band was a little harder to work with then other pairs I have worn. Even so it wasn't so much of a problem that I wouldn't try them again.

I tried them with minimal make-up as I wanted to use them for a sweeter look in the future, however I felt they overpowered it a little. Maybe something more dainty next time?! Anyway, I felt the lashes were a good size and length - I did also cut some down to use as lower accent lashes, which I preferred.

Overall I am happy with the two sets I was sent this time.

Both sets of lashes are under $8 for a pack of 10!!
For some everyday-use or 'first try' lashes that's such a bargain!!
They ship worldwide and delivery is super fast~

You can purchase any of these lashes and many more different types and brands here.

KKcenterhk also sell cosmetics, wigs, hosiery etc. so be sure to check them out!!

My Skin Care Routine

Clear skin is the key to your make up looking great so its really important to keep your skin clear and fresh feeling. I have sensitive skin , so i use Tea Tree based Facial Wash from the body shop. Ive ben using it for about a year now and i have tried and tested alot of washes and i have to say this product is excellent you only need a small amount , apply to wet skin and massage on to skin in upward motions until you form a lather on your face, then remove with water. I use to complement this Sea Weed Night Serum also from the body shop and the Sea Weed Daily Moisturiser. The other great thing about these products is the price you can get all three fr under £30 :) Great news all around then

Superdrug MUA Lipgloss Shade 4: Cheap and Awesome!

Superdrug MUA (the MUA stands for Makeup Artist) is a line of makeup launched by Superdrug, the eponymous drugstore line. The main attraction of the makeup line is that all its items are just £1. Yup, everything is just a quid! Of course, this means that there are hits and misses - some items are great, some are not so good. Here's one that I think is fantastic.

Introducing the Superdrug MUA Lipgloss in Shade 4. I picked up this little gloss when I stepped into Superdrug for a quick browse and got tempted. The Superdrug MUA line actually has two ranges of lipgloss, both called Lipgloss, but the colours in each line are different. The packaging is also different - one of the glosses comes in a squeeze tube, the other one, which I bought, comes in a hard plastic tube with a wand applicator.

Here's the gloss that I bought. I wasn't impressed by the other shades I swatched, but I did like Shade 4. so I ended up buying it!

Superdrug MUA Lipgloss

Here's a swatch of the gloss. Unlike the other glosses, which were just very sheer and glitter-laden, Shade 4 actually is a colour I really like. It's a deep rosy pink with fine gold shimmer. Very wearable, and very flattering on almost all skintones! Pigmentation was also very good, unlike the rest of the Superdrug MUA lipglosses. As you can see, my skin doesn't even show through.

And here's a swatch of it on my lips. The gold shimmer doesn't really show up on my lips, but it imparts some subtlety of colour that I really like. It would be suitable even for work.

So that's my cheap and awesome find of the day! I certainy hope I'll be finding more gems like this!

Himalaya Purifying neem Face Wash- Review & Photos

My skin type is usually normal but it has changes with the weather. In summers it remains normal but in monsoon it becomes a bit oily. I have to change my skincare routine according to its nature, so as a result the products also change.

Last summer when I visited Delhi, the weather was so hot there that I found some pimples popping out on my face. It was so irritating. So I bought Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash because it’s a herbal product and I always prefer herbal products for my skin. I used it twice a day and after four days only, my skin became clear from pimples and I found my skin clean and soft. After that unfortunately I couldn’t buy it again as I went on trying other face washes in which I found some good while some were not of my type. But now I have it again and I’m so happy to review one of my favorite face wash.

What it claims:

A soap free herbal formulation that gently removes impurities and prevents pimples.

Neem, well known for its anti-bacterial properties, kill problem causing bacteria, and Turmeric effectively controls acne and pimples. Use regularly for clear, soft and pimple free skin.

Direction of use:

Moisten face and neck, apply a small amount of purifying Neem Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off & pat dry. Use twice daily.

Active ingredients:

Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba) Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)

Packaging:

It's packed in squeeze out tube with the top cap. I find it a bit difficult to open up the cap but that’s a good thing in a way coz there’s no fear of it leaking out of the tube during traveling.

Net weight: 50 ml

Price: Rs. 45

In the mirror of my own experience:

Seeing pimples on my face was really horrible, although they were small ones but still I never have had any so it was a bad experience for me. But after using this face wash, they all vanished in 4-5 days and that was really impressive. Since then I’ve used this facewash only during summers despite the fact that I don’t face much of pimple problem now. But still it’s really good for me in summers.

What I like about this facewash:

It can make your face pimple free in less than a week.

It’s quite moisturizing and even if you skip out the moisturizer, it’ll do. But if your skin is normal you should use a moisturizer after this.

Makes the face look fresh and supple.

Gives a lovely soothing effect to the face.

Didn’t experience any breakouts on using it.

The packaging is nice and the product is handy.

It’s a herbal product and that too from Himalaya Herbals, so you can trust the product; no side effects.

Does not sting much if goes into the eyes.

Very little quantity is required in one wash and thus the quantity of the product is worth the price.

So of course, the price is very reasonable.

What I don’t like:

It’s not good for me in winters as my skin becomes dry at that time so I usually don’t use this face wash in winters.

It does not produce much lather which, in a way is good, but not for those who want lather producing face washes.

Final thoughts-

So overall all I have to say is that I’m loving this face wash and one of the best face washes that I’ve used till now. I’m surely gonna buy it again and again for summers and monsoon.

Rating:

4.5/5

Will I recommend it:

Yes, it should be must for oily and combination skinned girls. Even normal skin type girls should try it out in case they face any problems like pimples or acne.

So that was all about my experience with this facewash from Himalaya. Hope this review helps!! have you tried it?? What do you think?

Nouveau Monde Part 2, Smokey Edition FOTD

I hope I'm not a terribly boring blogger showing repetitive looks but...here's a second FOTD using Nars Nouveau Monde duo eyeshadow. I wanted to intensify the smokiness of this duo, so I added a bit of Mac Humid to the outer-v to make it more nighttime appropriate! I think it definitely enhanced the combo even more!
Also, I decided to search through my camera's manual and actually read it so I would know how to properly use it (only 8 months later hehe)...I changed some settings and I think the colors are much more true to life in the close up photos now.

Nars Nouveau Monde: lilac side on lid, olive side in crease, Mac Humid in outer v, Mac universal mix to highlight browbone

Laura Mercier Primer
Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer & Mineral SPF 15 powder over top
