Makari Beauty Whitening Milk-Review & photos

Hi pretty ladies,

You have read a lot of cosmetic reviews on my blog these days but today I’m bringing up a very different and amazing product which is related to your skin. AMAZING will not be a wrong word for this and trust me it's a really effective product. Today I’m reviewing about the Makari Beauty Whitening Milk which has an impressive formula for removing spots from the skin.

Makari Beauty Whitening Milk

This a moisturizing milk with a pleasant smell which moisturize very well the skin without make it greasy.

What it claims

This product is particularly effective against hyper- pigmented spots, age spots liver spots, scars and all signs of premature aging of skin. Regular use will keep your skin luminous, soft and in perfect condition. The beauty milk is 100% Hydroquinone free and deeply hydrating. Originally created for medical use this product delivers soft, healthy and safe result.

Skin types

It’s suitable for all skin types except acne prone skin.

Direction of use

Gently massage into skin twice daily after cleansing the skin.

Net weight

Price

Rs 2,400

Packaging

If I were to rate the packaging of this product, it would be nothing less than 5/5 coz the packaging is just marvelous. White with shiny golden combo is something that can be truly considered as grand…isn’t it?

This beauty whitening milk comes in a classy white bottle which has a beautiful golden cap & a golden bottom too.

In the mirror of my own experience

I was really impressed to see the royal packaging but as you know that we don’t invest our money only to see good packaging. The real thing is inside the bottle so I opened it and a light heavenly smell welcomed me. Hey I don’t know the smell of heaven but this was something that indulged me very deeply from the inside. Anyways I can’t explain it exactly.

Usually my skin is good but if you are a regular reader of my blog, I motioned about some brown spots on my forehead for which I have to get some concealer to hide them. These spots are due to the bad effect of sun light although I always use a sunscreen after going out but I’m a careless person, sometimes I forget and sometimes forget to reapply the sunscreen and as a result, I got this gift from sun:p I used this whitening milk not only in the day time but also at night before going to my bed. The smell insisted me to apply it at night also. Anyways, I used it for about 18-20 days and I was amazed to see my clean face without any spots on my forehead. This whitening milk not only made my skin spotless but also made it silky, soft and supple. I was pleasantly surprised to see its effect only in 20 days. I haven’t finished the bottle yet. Really it’s an amazing product from Makari. Usually after hearing the 'whitening' word we think about a product which is made for dark skin but this one is not for making one’s skin white but also spotless, luminous and perfect. I think the cost is worth its quality. It’s an impressive and effective formula by Makari.

Good points

  • It works according to it's claim.
  • The packaging is royal and classy.
  • The smell is as lovely as I've mentioned above.
  • The texture is milky but not runny. Easily can be taken out from the bottle and applied on the face.
  • It gets absorbed easily and makes it soft and supple without making it greasy.
  • It’s an effective formula for spots. I accept this after using this product.
  • It gives a quick effect. I saw its effect on my face only in 20 days. I admit that my spots were not dark but they disturbed me whenever I saw them on my forehead in the mirror.
  • The quantity is good. Even after using it for 20 days, more than half of the bottle is still left.
  • Besides removing the spots off the skin, it makes the skin soft and silky.

Bad points

The cost of this product is quite high but after realizing its effect, I can say that it is worth of it. We usually tend to spend a lot of money on expensive cosmetics but sometimes do ignore our skincare products. in my opinion, I will never spend so much on a cosmetic but if the product's for my skin I will definitely do so without much hesitation. So spending our money on an impressive product will not be wrong.

Final thoughts

Finally I can say that it’s a gift from Makari for the ladies who are worried about the pigmented spots on their faces. They can invest their money without any tension because this product would definitely work for them as it has done for me. Maybe dark spots would take some times to lighten but surely would be cleared after regular usage.

Recommendation

I'm happy to have got such a remarkable product and I will surely recommend it to everyone.

Will I buy it again?

I hope, I’ll not get any spots again on my face but if I get them again I’ll surely buy it.

Rating

5/5

So girls, it’s a unique and impressive product which can really make your skin spotless and make it clear and perfect. I love this whitening milk.

Check out their website for some other amazing products.

Makari de Suisse- Clarifying Exfoliating Antiseptic Soap-Review & photos

Hi lovely ladies

I hope you all are fine and happy in your different places. Sometimes I really wish that I could meet you guys, we all bloggers who live in different countries and places, are so interconnected to each other. I’m sure you all would be feeling the same like me. Anyways let me write about the today’s review and today I’m going to review a soap called: Makari de Suisse- Clarifying Exfoliating Antiseptic Soap which I had received a few weeks ago but I wanted to use it first for some days and notice its effect on my skin before writing its review.

Makari de suisse Clarifying Exfoliating antiseptic soap

It is a soap which is specially for exfoliating the skin and to make it bright and clear.

What it claims

With pure natural agent, the 'triple action soap' ensures the complexion you were waiting for. It’s a clarifying, exfoliating & antiseptic soap.

Ingredients

Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate,Aqua, Glycerin,Mulberry ( Morus Alba) Root Extract,Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Acid,Triclocarban, Parfum ( Fragrance), Sodium Chloride,Prunus Armeniaca( Apricot) kernel Extract,Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate

Direction for use:

Suitable for all skin type. Use during bath or shower. For maximum results of the soap's whitening properties keep lather for at least 5 minutes.

In the mirror of my own experience
I didn’t use it on my face because I didn’t need to do so. I used it on my arms & thighs during bathing because I wanted to exfoliate these areas. I followed the rules for use. When I applied it for first time, the experience was not as expected. The granules were quite hard and scratched my skin so I had to apply it very carefully. I felt a bit of dryness in my skin after bathing which I didn’t like although I admit that I felt my skin clean at the same time but the dryness was irritating. I had to apply my body lotion for getting rid of the dryness. In this weather I never used body lotion. The first experience was not a good one so I didn’t want to use it again but I wanted to see the effects as well so I used it for a week. I accept that in spite of giving some dryness to my body it did exfoliate the areas where I had some tiny white heads. All the areas of my body became clear and clean from those heads. So I can say that it’s effective for exfoliating but at the same time it makes your skin dry. I think it’s good for oily skinned people.

Good points

It works according to what it claims, I can’t say anything about the whitening but it makes the skin clean and clear from heads.

Most of girls have problem of white heads on their body especially the area I mentioned above. This becomes greater problem in winters. So this soap is a good solution for it.

It’s good for oily skinned girls because it removes all the dirt and oil from the body.

I just love it's smell!!!♥ ♥ ♥

If you suffer from white heads on your face such as along the nose area, it’ll be an effective product for removing them but you have to be careful while applying it because the grain seeds can scratch your skin. The best way to apply it is that you rub it on your wet palm first, make sufficient lather, and then apply it on the area you want.

Bad points

The grain seeds are so hard and they can scratch your skin if you are not careful.

It makes the skin dry. So it’s not for dry skin at all.

In winter it can make the skin even drier.

The price is too much. One will surely think before buying it.

The quantity is too less after seeing the cost.

Final thoughts

Finally, in my opinion, it works well as it claims but it’s not for all skin types. It’s only for oily skin. Makari should give a soap for dry skinned girls too which can do the same work as this soap does. The grains should have been a bit softer which won’t harm the skin.

Rating

2.25/5

Recommendation

If you have oily skin, it’s for you. You can get rid of the black or whiteheads on your face and body which becomes a big problem sometimes.

Will I purchase it again?

No, it’s a no for me.

So girls, have you used this soap? What are your opinions and experience about this exfoliating soap??

Check out makari's website.

Himalaya Purifying Neem Scrub-Review & photos

Hey everyone,
Hope you're enjoying the week and the hot summers!!
But maybe your skins are not enjoying this season due to acne or pimple problem...isn't it?
And for that here I have a great product: Himalaya herbals Purifying Neem Scrub (with Antibacterial properties)

What it claims:
Specially formulated to give you clear, problem-free skin, this scrub works with a dual exfoliation and purifying action. Neem well known for its purifying and antibacterial properties, kills problem causing bacteria. Combined with exfoliating Apricot granules, it gently scrubs away blackheads, dead skin cells & embedded impurities, leaving your skin soft, clear, refreshed and problem free.

Key ingredients:
Neem, Apricot

Direction to use:

Moist face and neck and apply, avoiding area around eyes. Massage gently with fingertips in a circular motion for a minut. Wash off and pat dry. Use 2-3 times weekly.
Our product is dermatologically-tested, noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic.

Packaging

It comes in a tube with an attached cap which is very comfortable in use and the tube is very secure enough.

Texture

The texture of this scrub is semi cream-gel base with granules suspended in it which is so easy to spread on the face and feels mild.

Price

Rs 65 for 50g

In the mirror of my own experience

I have been a big fan of lotus herbals scrub but never tried this one due to a silly reason that I thought that it's a neem scrub so must be for oily skin but now when I've tried it, I regret my assumption of avoiding such a great scrub.

I use it only 2 times in a week in the same way like I have mentioned HERE and after 2 weeks I noticed a clear difference in my skin. Soft, bright and clear. I won't say that my skin was not good before but after using it there was a bright clearness in my face. The best thing is that it’s so mild and suitable for every type of skin.

Good points

  • I love the mild texture of this scrub especially the white and green granules.
  • Though I have no pimples but it can be effective for the skin which has pimples because it contains anti-bacterial properties which can work to reduce the recurrence of pimples.
  • It makes the skin clean, fresh and soft.
  • It’s also effective in reducing the blackheads.
  • It removes all the dirt and gives a clear smooth skin to you as it cleans the skin pores.
  • The tube packaging with flip-flop cap keeps the scrub secure from wastage and it’s very easy to use.
  • Very comfortable in carrying out for traveling.
  • So the product is completely worth the price.

Bad points

  • I found only one bad point in this scrub & that is that it stings a bit in my eyes which is quite irritable.

Final thoughts

Finally I can say that I love this scrub and I’m happy that I have another option to change my scrub time to time. It’s really effective and works well on the skin. in summers I think it’s more effective than Lotus Herbal scrub.

Rating

4/5

Recommendation

Yes, in this hot summer, I’ll suggest every girl to try it because it has no skin type bondage so it’ll work for all types of skin. Even teen age girls can use it without tension.

So ladies what about you? Have you tried this scrub? What are your thoughts about this product? I would really love to know your opinions and experience.

Revlon Photoready foundation-Review, Swatches & photos(how to apply through a simple tutorial by pictures)

Hi ladies,

Hope everyone is doing well!!

As many of my readers already know that one of my favorite makeup brands is Revlon for sure!! My foundation, compacts, concealer, eyeliner, favorite lip shades etc etc…are all from Revlon as their products have never disappointed me.

Quite recently I’d reviewed Revlon Colorstay foundation and through that review you must have got an idea about how much I adore that foundation.

I was very excited on seeing Revlon’s Photoready range being launched in India as all the products in that range just looked fabulous. And now I’m just more than happy to review this Revlon Photoready foundation. Take a look guys and see what I have to say about this new Photoready foundation-

What it claims:

Revlon PhotoReady™ Makeup - for poreless, airbrushed skin in any light. Photochromatic pigments bend and reflect light to erase every flaw. Complete, yet undetectable coverage.

Delivers soft, luminous airbrushed finish in any light.

Photochromatic pigments bend, reflect and diffuse light to erase every flaw.
Complete yet undetectable coverage.
Oil free, Fragrance Free.
SPF 20.
Can be used alone or in combination with either the PhotoReady Powder OR PhotoReady Translucent Finisher.

Net weight:

30ml

Shades available:

Ivory, Vanilla, Shell, Nude, Natural beige, Medium Beige, Cool beige, Golden beige, Rich ginger, Caramel, Cappuccino, Mocha

In India you can get- Shell, Nude, Medium Beige & Caramel (only 4 shades)

Price:

Rs 850/ $20 approx.

Application Tips:

Press pump to disperse formula. Apply with fingertips starting in the center of face and blend outward.

Packaging:

Love the packaging!! It comes in a sturdy pump out bottle of 30ml. The bottle with a black cap looks very sleek and beautiful and the pump enables you to take out as much as you require. The only thing is that it’s a glass bottle so may face some inconvenience in carrying it around which was surely not a problem in the Colorstay Active Light makeup foundation.

In the mirror of my experience:

After a fab experience with the Revlon Colorstay range-it’s foundation, concealer and compact, I decided to try out their Photoready range. I got this foundation just around 2 days ago and have applied it once and took some pics. And I was just amazed at the fact that it blended and got absorbed into my skin so flawlessly and spread very quickly covering the whole of the face within seconds!! It feels so light and gives an awesome coverage which is even more than the Colorstay foundation. It also gave a lovely shine and glow to my face which evidently showed in the photos. So I would say that once I wear this I’m Photoready!!

The good pints:

  • As I’ve mentioned, that this thing just spread all over my face within seconds and it blended really flawlessly and smoothly.
  • The texture is very fine and it seems as if I haven’t worn any foundation.
  • It never ever broke me out.
  • It has medium to build able coverage. I would say the coverage is pretty good. I don’t need any concealer after wearing this foundation. But if one has noticeable spots on the face, a light touch of concealer application will be enough.
  • In spite of it’s impressive coverage, it’s amazingly light weight which is really specialty of this foundation.
  • This foundation is especially designed for photography, and I think it works finely on the skin.
  • It gives a clear glow which shows in the photographs and after using and taking pictures I can say that it’s really one of the best foundations for photography.
  • It gives a flawless, soft, dewy & non cakey coverage.
  • It comes in a sturdy pump bottle. The bottle is beautiful and easy to use.
  • It has SPF 20 which is a fact that I love.
  • And yes, it gives a hint of "glow", which others call it a bit of shimmer( oh I love this glow)
  • No streaking and no allergies or breakouts.
  • Very easy to blend with both brush and sponges
  • I can mix with other foundation. I’m thinking to mix it with my ColorStay foundation for try.
  • It has no weird scent.
  • It holds up quite well in summers, does not oil up.
  • It works well on both dry and oily skin. This can be clear by the fact that even my sis got it 3-4 days ago and she is very glad to have it for her oily skin.

Bad points

  • It’s not as light weight as my ColorStay Active Makeup foundation but if you want a full coverage, you can find it best.
  • If you are office going and want a light coverage, it’s not for you.
  • Only 4 shades are available in India so be very careful while choosing your shade.

Final thoughts

I really do love this foundation coz it has an amazing coverage without feeling heavy on the skin. The shine in this is great if you want that youthful, healthy glow. If you don’t want much glow in your photograph, you can set it and reduce the shine with Revlon PhotoReady Pressed Powder. Many people do compare it with MUFE HD foundation as well so one can say that this is a drugstore version of HD makeup. If I compare it with Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation, I find both of them amazing.

Rating

4.70/5

Would I buy it again?

Oh for sure guys. Love it.

Recommendation

Of course yes.

And now here's a small tutorial showing how I apply this foundation and how it looks on me:

So what do you think about this foundation. If you are a photograph junkie, you should get it for sure!!

Himalaya Purifying neem Face Wash- Review & Photos

My skin type is usually normal but it has changes with the weather. In summers it remains normal but in monsoon it becomes a bit oily. I have to change my skincare routine according to its nature, so as a result the products also change.

Last summer when I visited Delhi, the weather was so hot there that I found some pimples popping out on my face. It was so irritating. So I bought Himalaya Purifying Neem Face Wash because it’s a herbal product and I always prefer herbal products for my skin. I used it twice a day and after four days only, my skin became clear from pimples and I found my skin clean and soft. After that unfortunately I couldn’t buy it again as I went on trying other face washes in which I found some good while some were not of my type. But now I have it again and I’m so happy to review one of my favorite face wash.

What it claims:

A soap free herbal formulation that gently removes impurities and prevents pimples.

Neem, well known for its anti-bacterial properties, kill problem causing bacteria, and Turmeric effectively controls acne and pimples. Use regularly for clear, soft and pimple free skin.

Direction of use:

Moisten face and neck, apply a small amount of purifying Neem Face Wash and gently work up a lather using a circular motion. Wash off & pat dry. Use twice daily.

Active ingredients:

Azadirachta indica (Neem, Nimba) Curcuma longa (Turmeric, Haridra)

Packaging:

It's packed in squeeze out tube with the top cap. I find it a bit difficult to open up the cap but that’s a good thing in a way coz there’s no fear of it leaking out of the tube during traveling.

Net weight: 50 ml

Price: Rs. 45

In the mirror of my own experience:

Seeing pimples on my face was really horrible, although they were small ones but still I never have had any so it was a bad experience for me. But after using this face wash, they all vanished in 4-5 days and that was really impressive. Since then I’ve used this facewash only during summers despite the fact that I don’t face much of pimple problem now. But still it’s really good for me in summers.

What I like about this facewash:

It can make your face pimple free in less than a week.

It’s quite moisturizing and even if you skip out the moisturizer, it’ll do. But if your skin is normal you should use a moisturizer after this.

Makes the face look fresh and supple.

Gives a lovely soothing effect to the face.

Didn’t experience any breakouts on using it.

The packaging is nice and the product is handy.

It’s a herbal product and that too from Himalaya Herbals, so you can trust the product; no side effects.

Does not sting much if goes into the eyes.

Very little quantity is required in one wash and thus the quantity of the product is worth the price.

So of course, the price is very reasonable.

What I don’t like:

It’s not good for me in winters as my skin becomes dry at that time so I usually don’t use this face wash in winters.

It does not produce much lather which, in a way is good, but not for those who want lather producing face washes.

Final thoughts-

So overall all I have to say is that I’m loving this face wash and one of the best face washes that I’ve used till now. I’m surely gonna buy it again and again for summers and monsoon.

Rating:

4.5/5

Will I recommend it:

Yes, it should be must for oily and combination skinned girls. Even normal skin type girls should try it out in case they face any problems like pimples or acne.

So that was all about my experience with this facewash from Himalaya. Hope this review helps!! have you tried it?? What do you think?

Wella Biotouch Straight Intensive Mask- Review & photos

Hi lovely readers

I hope you are fine. :) Since the last two days the weather has gone really crazy in my city….it’s getting so cold & rainy and there has been snowfall in the nearby hill stations.

Today I’m not reviewing any cosmetic or skin care product. For a change I’m writing about a hair care product-Wella Biotouch Straight intensive mask.

What Biotouch Straight Intensive Mask claims?

Utilises a Smoothing Complex and jojoba oil to protect against frizz, dryness and damage. Wella Biotouch Straight Intensive Mask nourishes and protects locks, adding moisture and maintaining smoothness. This intensive treatment hydrates and revitalises the structure of smooth or unruly tresses while controlling the volume of the hair. Ideal for use in between salon straightening treatments or if a hair dryer or irons are regularly used at home.

Price: Rs 4oo – 450( $10 approx.)

Pack size: 150mL

Directions for use-

Distribute evenly through your towel-dried hair and gently massage.

Comb through and leave for approximately 5-10 minutes.

Rinse thoroughly.

My own experience with this product:

My sister bought this mask for her because she had straightened up her hair but in spite of taking good care of her hair she felt them dry and even experienced some hair fall. After searching in the stores she chose this one for herself and only after one week, she found a clear difference in her hair. Not only the dryness changed into smoothness but also the hair fall had almost finished. This product makes her hair silky and smooth. In her own words ‘that is one of the best products I have found for my hair type’. She loves this product and now this one has become a essential part of her life. She never forgets to carry out while traveling. I have never straightened my hair so this was not for me but one day I tried it as an experiment and realized why she loves it. After using it my hair became so silky and smooth. I used a very less quantity but the effect was amazing. The shining which i got after using it made me really happy.

Why you should love this product:

I love the smell.

Great if you have color treated hair.

Gives a rich moisture to your dry hair.

It is not heavy, leaves the hair with an incredible softness and shine, and it truly protects.

Very helpful for growing hair.

Protects hair from sun damage.

It is very moisturizing and makes the dry hair feel smooth, soft and bouncy.

The bottle is very nice and very handy for carrying out for traveling.

The price is worth its quality.

Why you should stay away from it.

If your hair is natural silky and haven’t colored, straightened or curled up your hair then no need to use this.

If you don’t want to do any experiment with your hair.

Will I purchase it again? Maybe or maybe not… but as I told this is an essential part of my sister’s life.

Will I recommend it to others?

Of course yes, if you have given any treatment to your hair, you should surly try it.

Rating: 4.75/5

So girls, most of you are fond of coloring or straightening your hair but this can damage your hair so take care of your hair by using good products which can help your hair from any type of damage.

Thanks!! :) :)
