Recently I got many mails for reviewing the Lotus Herbal Skin Polisher but you see, how can I review any product without using and knowing its results by using for at least a week. But today I’ m going to review this product so your wait has ended.

What is a polisher?

Sometimes ordinary face scrubs often leave some redness and rashes onto the face but polisher is a gentle option for such kinds of skin. Lotus Herbal Skin Polisher doesn’t have any abrasive effect on skin. They have ultra fine granules that tenderly clean the dead skin cells while nourishing the skin to give it flawless radiance.

How to use it

Gently apply it on moisturized skin with brisk circular movements on the face and neck. Rinse thoroughly and pat dry. Use twice a week for fresh and younger looking skin.

Packaging

The packaging of the skin polisher is so cute. It comes in a transparent plastic jar. The new packaging is sealed with a plastic film.Also, then you open the screw cap, there is a thin plastic partition that prevents the spillage of the product. You can see the product without opening the jar. I love its packaging although it's a bit unhygienic.

In the mirror of my own experience

One can surely get impressed on seeing its color after opening the cap. I felt a fresh sort of feeling on opening it. Not only the color and texture of this polisher but the smell made me fresh and relaxed. It even looks quite yummy..isn't it?

When I applied it on my face for the first time, I loved it gentle texture. It's really an awesome product for sensitive skin. Though I have a normal/dry skin but it’s good for me. I applied it on my face and neck and gave a circular motion massage for 3-5 minutes. Then rinsed with fresh water and patted dry with a soft towel. I felt a noticeable freshness and smoothness in my skin. It didn’t make my skin dry. I needed only a bit of moisturizer after it. I use it twice a week and I really love this polisher. In fact, I have been waiting for using this lovely product!

Good points

I love its fruity fragrance.

Light weight and handy.

The packaging is different from other scrubs.

It’s a good for every day use if required. The granules are gentle and don’t scratch the skin at all.

Gives a fresh feeling after applying and a clear smoothness after washing it.

It’s good for normal to dry skin too.

Helps in cleaning up the white and black heads.

Doesn’t contain any harmful ingredients like parabens etc.

I love its texture especially the green color.

Different polishers are available for different skin types.

Decently priced.

It doesn’t sting my eyes.

Bad points

Though I love this new type of packaging but it’s a bit unhygienic because whenever you require dipping hands into it which can prove to be unhealthy. I always am careful about my hands being clean.

Final thoughts

Finally I’m satisfied with this polisher. I love using Lotus Herbal’s scrub but this one is a good option for a change. Lotus Herbals always launching new products for skincare and most of them prove to be good and impressive.

After sharing with you my first glance of Lotus Herbals PHYTORx Herbcomplex Protective Lotion I had promised you all that after using it I’ll share my experience with everyone. Since then I got many mails from some readers to tell them about my experience with this product but as you know I couldn’t write its review so soon without giving it a 10-15 days trial.

Anyways now I have used it for about 15 days so I can share my experience with you.

Lotus Herbals PHYTORx Herbcomplex Protective Lotion

What it claims:

An everyday moisturizing sun protector with SPF-15 that not only lacks in essential moisture but it also works as defense system for the skin from ill-effects of the sun, wind, UV radiation and heat.

It helps heal minor rashes and sun burns. Shields skin from invading elements while keeping it protected and well moisturized.

Active Ingredients-

Rose- it refresh he skin, make new cell

Aloe Vera-it makes the skin soft.

Chamomile-it’s good antiseptic for skin also can make the skin supple.

Wheat extracts- it rejuvenates the skin and gives softness too.

Direction of use-

Apply generous quantity on face, neck and exposed areas. Spread all over evenly.

In the mirror of my own complete experience-

When I had applied it for the first time, the quick experience was good. My skin absorbed the lotion completely and gave me a matte finish but it didn’t make my skin dry. I applied it twice a day during this period. First in the morning after washing my face and then in the evening again after washing. So this was my routine during these 13-15 days and as a result my skin has become quite healthy, soft and rejuvenating. The best thing is that in spite of being suitable for oily and combination skin, it’s good for normal skin also in summers. Thus I can say that I'm really impressed by this product and would surely repurchase it after finishing this bottle.

Good points-

I love the texture of this lotion. It has a watery thin texture and spreads very easily. It gets absorbed quickly without leaving any greasiness behind only giving a soft lovely feeling on my face.

I love its light fragrance which reminds me of rose petals.

It has SPF 15 in it so if I forget to apply my sunscreen (inside the house) there is no tension at all, which is a big advantage of this lotion. But I always apply a sunscreen lotion after apply it before going outside.

I can use it before applying stick or liquid foundation for makeup. It gives a lovely finish to the face.

It is preservative free, parable free and free from any artificial fragrance or color and not tested on animals.

Though the bottle doesn’t have any cap on it but the plastic ring keeps prevents the lotion from spilling out if the pump is pressed accidentally.

It has given my skin a healthy, soft and supple look only in 15 days. So I love this lotion.

In my opinion, it more better for oily to combination skin girls. They should surely give it a try.

I want to congrats and thank Lotus for lunching this lovely lotion in this hot summer season.

Bad points-

The packaging, especially the bottle being without any cap. The plastic ring which is given with it to secure this lotion is not that good as it can be lost anywhere so it's just something temporary. Unfortunately I too have lost it.

The pump is okay but sometimes it doesn’t work properly and lotion comes out with some difficulty as the result it comes out sometimes less and too much in quantity.

It’s good for day time but not at night for me.

It’s a fine option for summers but not for winter as my skin becomes dry in the chilled weather of my city.

It’s available only on salons so it’s not easy to find it sometimes.

Overall verdict-

After using 15 days, I can say that I love this lotion. Like all Lotus products it has done a great job!!

Best option for oily to combo skinned girls. Will work in winters as well for oily skin.

I remember, in my recent trip to Kolkata, I went to a beauty clinic in a very posh area of the city for hair spa and I saw this range there. I asked the owner of the salon about this range and I came to know that she was very happy about this range because all her clients on which she had tried its product, were satisfied. After getting to know such good things about this range, I’ was really very excited about it. I’m happy that I got a chance to try it on my face.

I have heard lot of nice things about this range but final …will be after using this lotion. Today I’m sharing only the first look and impression about this product.

Packaging-

When it comes about the first look, we first see the looks of packaging of any product. About this product, I can say that the packaging is lovely. Dark green shade of this complete range gives a pleasant feeling of greenness & dewiness. My city was not too hot earlier but since some years, the city even the hilly areas have been getting hot so even this year the summers can be hot and I hope this range of Lotus Herbals gives soothing effects of skin.

It’s a pump out bottle. Has a nozzle to take out the contents but there is no cap to cover the pump. There is also a plastic ring under the pump which prevents accidental press of the pump. So if you lose the ring there will always be a danger of the contents coming out if someone presses it by mistake. All this makes it a bit a difficult to carry around especially during traveling. Therefore it would have been an ideal packaging if a cap was there to cover the pump.

Quick experience

• It has a pleasant fragrance that smells like rose petals. I really love this smell coz my garden is full of roses and this smell attracts me a lot!!

• As my skin becomes normal in summers so this is gonna be a good option for me. Hope it works out well for me :p

• Has SPF 15, so one can do without much sunscreen in dim sunlight or at home. But still you should not avoid a sunscreen.

• It is a herbal product, with no preservatives or color. So you don’t have to worry about any harm that it may cause to your skin.

• The consistency of this moisturizer is perfect for my skin in summers…neither too thick nor runny.
• 

• I have used it only once right now and my skin feels quite smooth & supple after that.

• It gets absorbed into the skin nicely and makes it smooth & soft.

Anyhow, so this was my opinion about this Protective lotion. But all this was only the first glance, I’ll soon review the results too and hope that’ll be positive only coz till date all the Lotus products that I’ve used have given great results and hope this too falls in the same category.

Lotus herbals Safe Sun gel sunscreen-review and photos

The summers have started to settle themselves in many parts of India and now it’s time that we start using a lot of our sunscreens whenever we go out. Isn’t it?

Since the last 2-3 years I’ve stuck to only one sunscreen and that is from Lotus herbals. I’ve been using 3-in-1 matte look Sunblock but this time thought of trying out this Sunscreen gel with SPF 20.

What it claims:

This revolutionary oil-free sunscreen gel, made with extracts of babchi seed, sea weed, aloe and other aquatic plants, is ideal for oily skin especially in hot and humid weather. May be used on all parts of the body.

Key ingredients:
Phenyl Banzimidazole Sulfonic Acid, Babchi Seed extract.

How to use:

Apply on cleansed face before going out door. Repeat application every time your skin is exposed to sun. For best results use with Safe Sun Sunscreen Face Wash Gel.

My experience:

I’ve been using the matte look sunblock since long so this time thought of trying out this gel one. I experience a normal-combination skin type during summers and monsoons and so picked this one as it claims to be for oily and normal skin type. I’m almost done with this bottle and finally I must say that it is quite an impressive product.

The packaging:

It comes in a transparent plastic pump up bottle which is very convenient in use and the contents inside looks like an orange marmalade .

Price: Rs 175-200 for 100gm

Pros :

This sunscreen is not at all sticky and perfect for summers.

Oil free and light.

It’s quite thick and so very little amount is required.

The packaging is very comfortable coz it’s a pump out bottle.

Quite moisturizing, so skipping the moisturizer will also do.

Gets absorbed in the skin quickly and is not greasy.

It’s a herbal product so will surely have no side effects.

Best for oily to normal skin type but even people with dry skin can use it sometimes but with a moisturizer.

Cons :

It’s a bit drying sometimes and not good for dry skin but as I’ve mentioned above they can also use it with a good moisturizer.

The SPF is quite low…only 20 so you can’t go out into the sun for a very long time after using it. For that you will have to apply it again and again after a 3-4 hrs.

So overall I can say that I’m satisfied with this product but I won’t use it in winters. At that time I use the matte look sunblock which is the best sunscreen that I’ve ever used.
